Hi all.
In my other thread I originally thought I had an engine problem as my engine light came on, on the dash;

However, today going to work & coming home the light didn't come on.
But bought myself a code reader anyhow. There nothing showing in the engine codes, but out of curiosity I thought I would check the Auto trans codes to see if there was anything in there;
P1625 has shown up. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem may be in the transmission, as there's no noticeable problems at the moment - I'm totally confused by the engine light showing on the dash, going off, then finding I've a transmission problem ?????? :o ,
Help please as need a car to get about in very much !

Lots of measuring to be done, looks to be related around Pressure Regulator, so find that on your wiring diags, and take some measurements
-
Have to admit, I'm very much a numpty when it comes to electric on a car.
Found in my haynes manual refererance to "Solenoid - main fluid pressure control" (U10.2) in the list, is this the same thing as Pressure Regulator ?.
Now just got to find it on the tiny diagrams ?!.
-
Regards to above, can only find something relating to solenoid - main fluid pressure control, and that looks like it maybe to do with the ECU if I'm reading the diagrams right ??.
Is there a pressure regulator actually physically fixed to the gear box that is known to be problematic at all ?.
-
Sorry, had to post quickly earlier as the battery had died in the lappy.
The pressure reg will be in gearbox, so find its connector, and take some meaurements.
-
No problems with delay, as I've been trying to find wires on wiring circuit anyway, no luck so far.
What kind of measurements am I looking for / needing to do ?.
Am I looking for something called an open circuit or looking for voltage readings.
Would you mind explaining what I need to look for, I can get a friend who understands electrics better to help out then.
Sounds like this is going to be expensive for me again though ?!. :-[

"force motor/aka solenoid" is located in the front sump on the steering wheel side.

Thanks for advice. Will take a look this wk/end to see if I can get any readings and post them when I do.
Thanks to those who've helped with advice.

Apologies for bringing this to the front again.
Haven't managed to get the readings, as can't find a way to 'patch in' to the loom as don't know where to start ?.
Also as I'm not electrical techy, what am I looking for, readings show consistance, or readings regards to volts measurement ?.
Any advise on where to start would be greatly received thanks.
