Title: Mr dtms"garage door"head light adjust procedure?
Post by: feeutfo on 28 May 2009, 18:23:56
seen it on here but cant find or remember it exactly. Something about parking very close to  a garage door or whatever, mark the light position on the door, then reverse back a bit and adjust so its a distance below the mark.

Cant remember how far back to reverse and how far below to adjust? Anyone?

Cheers.

Mark the point where the beam kicks up from horizontal then reverse back a car length and set the side-side adjuster so that the 'kick-up' is in the same place horizontally. Then set the up-down so that the beam is just below the previous mark.
If you look at the lens or possibly a sticker on top of the lamp you should find the beam setting angle in %. work out the required droop as a % of the distance from the door.
Note that this method only works if your drive is flat (as opposed to level) and you can reverse straight back. We know Marks block paving is absolutely square to the garage door which helps.

It's one of the joys of Westfield ownership. Having to repeat this procedure every time you drive it in the dark. ::)
