Title: aircon not working

i have done a search but cant find any info.
problem i have its not cold.
i am new to all this but i think i have read somewhere that the pully/disk on the lower pully should spin when its working and when on eco it should be stopped.
mine is not spinning on any hot cold eco on or off.
any help please

I think that if there is no gas in the system then the compressor will not work.

Maybe try having it regassed and see what happens?  :y

Before you try regassing, I'd advise you to check the a/c fuses and relay as well.

where do i find these fuse/relay.what colour are they

its an s reg elite estate.

Also check the 'secondary thermo switch' contector is securely fitted, it provides a 'earth return' for the aircon compressor.
It is located n/s of the rad, screwed into the plastic side pod, it's the lower of the two 'thermo switch's'.
If all ok go for a re-gas.

One fuse box is located under your steering wheel in the cabin and the other one is located in the bonnet next to the battery.  :y

looks like a regas then i have checked all fuses relays look ok to me .

I wouldn't bother Nick, the system has a very small leak. I had the system tested last year, it held pressure so I had it refilled but it leaked slowly over 2 to three months :(

I wouldn't worry about it too much, summer ends on Tuesday anyway ::)
