Title: Omega rear brakes...
Post by: steverubberduck on 01 June 2009, 18:33:24
I have recently changed my rear discs and pads.
My quetsion is, where do you get the little bits of metal that stops the vibration/holds the pads in place?

I've a feeling that you need a 'fitting kit' if you've bought from Vauxhall. MikeDundee's aftermarket pads came with them.  ;)

Taa...
I was thinking that it may include a trip to a vx dealer.
Couldn't find any on ebay.

axle set of vx rear pads comes with pins backing plates and cross shaped spring clip things. Just bought some.
They charged me 42.80 on tc plus vat for vented discs. Much less for normal non vented apparently.

Same here, bought a full set beginning of May on TC from the local dealer. Genuine VX rear solid disks £61.16 , pads £11.14 , all plus VAT of course. Pads are just pads, no clips plates or anything else.

ETA: Turned out I didnt need them after all, so now my Mrs is giving me grief about car parts knocking around the house again... I've only just dumped donated the starter motor that I'd had for 6 months to TB
