Title: how many hoses

how many hoses attached to the cooling system run behind the engine?

i have a coolant leak, i went for a ten minute drive and lost 3litres/ 6 pints of water! quite severe i think :o

i have changed the HBV and replaced the two hoses from bulkhead to hbv. i gona change other but wanted to know if i should get my hands on any others just in case :(

any help please :y

also not running ac as out of gas

rather than change parts, pull the plenum off, and then with the aid of a spare cap and a valve, pressurise cooling to around 10psi.  Then have a good looksie :)

i did manage to get me hands on valve today so might have a go at that at wknd, thanx :y

and keep to 10psi. Don't whack in 20 or 30psi from a tyre

just read the how to on pressure cap. says no more than 16 but ill stick to ten like you say

a little more would be safe, but 10 is low and should show it up nicely
