Title: Handbrake is crap.. how to tighten?

Hey again everyone :)
Don't worry, i'm pretty sure this is the last little niggle i have (for now  :D) to annoy you all with.

The handbrake is really no good, if i'm parked on a slight incline and i pull the handbrake up, the car will roll. I have to use both hands to pull it up as far as it'll go before it actually sticks when i'm on a slope.

Is there any easy way to tighten it up? Or can anyone point me in a direction for a how to?

Make sure the pads are not worn though. It could be a sign they need replacing.
