Title: Issue
Post by: DaviesEB on 03 June 2009, 12:32:59
I did a  check and was told that the transponder is faulty. When i put key in ignition the eml light continuosly blink.

My key had the electronic part stolen so i use just the horse shoe. My mech  tells me there is a chip in the horse shoe which is missing. It look like a square chip. Is this true.

How can i solve this ???????????

Any help for the window's Son.

That is correct if your Omega is post 1996. 1994/5 cars used a different system.

OK, assumed from your reply that yours is post 1996.  If not, ignore the crap I'm about to type below ;D

You need:
New transponder chip
Your carpass that has your immobiliser PIN
Somebody with the specialist equipment to program the immobiliser (and before anyone says it, "My Naff Code Reader" seems to be VERY flakey in doing this properly)

No way around it. All 3 requirements above needed. End of.

Nothing.  You need all 3 of those requirements I mentioned.

Only other alternative is to buy a transponder, immobiliser ecu and engine ecu, all already paried together.
