Title: Dashboard display missing
Post by: Waglet on 23 May 2009, 16:00:15
I expect many owners have or have had this problem. 1994 CDX. The display has many "bits missing" and virtually unreadable. Is there a cure? Can it be replaced/repaired/changed. Thanks

I believe they can be repaired if you're very very good with a soldering iron. Best option is to replace, try ebay or one of the breakers on here :y

You do need to replace with one of the early unreliable ones though  :'(

the later more reliable ones have different connectors

yes, but that is a lot easier than it looks, 10 minute job!

pop out centre airvents, couple of screws, one over steering wheel....

propper guide in the maint section.

The Yellow connector MID's can be replaced with the grey plug MID if you are good with a soldering iron and making up looms / modifying PCB's :y

How do you get at the screw if the steering column is fiexed? I.E. it does not have the lever to move it up and down etc. Thanks
