Not that I know of, but you can buy them off e-bay, or at least used to be able to, but not sure they're legal in the UK. There was a thread somewhere about it

From what I saw on ebay those black headlights were only for prefacelift models

in case you dont get a good seal again after splitting the lights. a pet hate of mine is steam/moisture in lights!

a few people on a local forum have done it, set the light into an oven at a low temperature to soften the glue and then prize (sp) the lense off...or a heat gun has also been used

I beliave it can be done DIY, but it's a bitch to do without breaking the light units.
There's the rubberry tacky black seal which isn't easy to separate the lens from back of the unit.

Did something simaliar with Astra Mk4 headlight - Worth it if you have the time and patiences of a saint !!.  ::)

IIRC I used a Stanley knife to gently cut through the glue/sikaflex. They opened up quire easily.  :y

might buy a spare set and give it a go!

Just spent about 1 hour pulling the lenses off a set I bought .They come off ok if you heat it up with a hair dryer and then start at a corner with 2 fairly blunt 1 inch chisels and a couple of stanley knife blades to keep cutting the black gunge.
Yes patience is required but fairly simple job....I now have the existing ones to remove from my xenons,as they are past it,then I will have nice clean new lights.
Does anyone know what the sealer is that is used ? as will run a bead around both when I refit them just to be sure of a decent seal again.

I have pulled most of the glue off the lenses that I removed, as I won,t be refitting them onto my existing headlights for a week or so as no free days for a while now.
One of them I bought was a OEM and had metal sprung clips aswell as glue...the original GM ones have a moulding wedge on the lense so expect some glue or similar would be wise.
Looks like Sikaflex 251 boat sealer is the answer.

windscreen sealant would also be good, flexible and waterproof!

...and what painting method would be best? Plastic primer then satin black spray. Do you rough up the reflector first with some fine wet and dry? Are there any bits not to spray?
