Title: Auto gearbox question

Occasionally when keeping up speed of say 20mph in slow moving traffic and just touching accelerator now and then, it seems as though gearbox has put itself in neutral and when you press acceleraotr again it is unresponsive for a few seconds. Has done it twice this week but not at all today driving back from Cornwall and keeping up good speeds.

Any ideas?
