I noticed when I last had the plenum off that the bottom of the bendy pipe (I think it goes into the manifold) for the EGR gubbins wasn't secure. When I removed the EGR gubbins in preparation to remove the plenum I noticed the bendy pipe could be twisted round, like the nut securing it to the manifold wasn't tight enough. It's certianly tighter than my manly fingers could tighten as I couldn't move the nut by hand.
I've only just now got a set of crow's feet but is there anything else I need to know before I dive in and check out the fitting? Does this happen a lot and is it really just a quick tightening that is required?
Also what size is that nut?
