Does the engine start :question

Well my key is a horse shoe. The electronic component got damaged. So i had key without it. Where in the horse shoe is the chip. As i have seen it open and empty.
Mech tells me there is a chip. How does it look like. might have probably jumped out.

No chip means you`ll have to get another one programmed to the car.

i never noticed this on my key when it was starting the vehicle.
All the same i am told i can get one. But i am in Africa and i bought the vehicle with the Carpass.
How then do i get the new Key and Chip???? Please can anyone assist.

E-Bay or a Vauxhall/Opel dealer. Then it will need programming with "Tech II"
-
Well Yes, I called Pentagon Vauxhall and they want proff of ownership.
Who then do i give it to programme? I do have a Bill of Sale from the Garage i bought it from is that a proff of ownership???
Can you estimate cost????
Thanks

Bill of sale + registration documents + carpass + personal identification should be sufficient. Assuming you have a Pentagon VX dealership where you are they should have the equipment to programme it to your car. No idea of cost in your country but IIRC about £70 here, not sure though
