Remove the four that haynes describes and there is another on the left hand side, behind the end of the dash thatthe door covers when it's shut. I do have a picture at home if you can wait till 11 o'clock  :y

I will. IIRC  you get to it via a hole in the end of the dash. I eneded up breaking bits of my dash when I tried to remove mine. The mini face  lift have presumably got a facelift glove box with the extra 5th screw.
I took the picture & sent it to Mr Haynes, who did admitted they didn't know it was there.  ::)

It'll be revised if/when they do a facelift manual ..... so don't hold your breath!  ;D  ;D :y  :y

I didn't know that write up was there, it's a pity Haynes didn't use it for their book, it'd saved me a whole load of grief .... and glue, from when I broke bits!  ;)

Having just put my Glovebox back in today, you now have me wondering what that plug is for and whats the box its wired to.?
I had to remove 3x silver torq screws to the top, then 2 upper screws revealed when the airbag panel is lifted. 2 lower screws. then the one in the side when air vent is removed.
still broke a clip on removal.
Fitted a permanent USB 5vDC lead and dab antenna lead into the glovebox for the Pure highway.

The first job I ever did on my Mig was replace the broken glove box handle.....took me 2 hours, ended up with sliced knuckles and well pee'd off.......Being very gentle with the new handle so I never have to do that again........!!!
