just after i got home, the dealer replaced the rad,& i pick up
her up this morning.
Any how I have just been to check the work & i have found the Expansion tank full of oil, it looks terminal >:(
-
Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Sounds like the oil cooler as failed .. :(
-
Go to Page 1 of 'Common Issues & FAQ'
Then look-up 'Flow chart - HG or Oil Cooler' and take it from there .........
-
did the dealer give you a warranty? if so get it back to him ASAP as he has obviously sold you a bit of a lemon by the sounds of it :o
-
Its the oil cooler...100% so get them to replace that too and flush the system out over and over to get rid of the oil...not terminal thankfully :y
-
Definatley get them to replace!

Thank;s for that, checked the, oil filler neck got a bit of mayo in there, checked the dipstick, but no water in the engine as far as i can see, could oil cooler still be the problem ?

Yup, mayo could also be where it has been used on short runs.

Is it possible that if the oil cooler was, on it way out it would have made the radiator fail ?

Well i may have a case, with the dealer selling me a car that
a problem with it,i think i may have a fight on my hands with this one, anyone know how much a new oil cooler is to fit from
an indy? that is if it turns out to be the oil cooler & not the
HG.

It WILL be the oil cooler, can be £500+ to replace, lot of work to strip down. Its easy to DIY tho
-
if it is the cooler i wouldn't have any place to do it, may not have an option, but to get an indy to do, if the dealer won't.
-
The dealer should fix it no questions asked. Keep the pressure on and if all fails get in touch with the Citizens Advice :y
