Title: V6 inlet manifolds / splitters /tb's / etc
Post by: i260 on 14 June 2009, 14:08:24
Are thethrottle bodies and the inlet manifolds all the same on the 2.5,2.6,3.0 and 3.2 or are there differences?

Considering getting a back-up set from TB to head to get flowed and pop on in one go but I want to get the  best /correct one for a 2.6. Obviously the earlier 2.5 and 3.0's are more readily available.

Drive by wire

The throttle flaps are controlled by a motor, which opens or closese them depending on electrical signals from the accelerator pedal.

No throttle cable basically.....

so are any bits interchangable? I would take it that the Throttle Bodies are different, but how about the   manifolds /plenums etc...?

Plenum's are different.... the DBW one's won't have the EGR hole for argument sake. Don't think they have ICV either....

Throttle bodies, by very nature, are different....
