Thgis cannot be right. I have had my Omega Elite fitted with a new condenser and regassed. It was'nt cheap! The inside temperature is definitely not cold at all but the garage said that it was about right for this type of car. All other cars i have had the temperature at least got down to 14c. This cannot get to 18c. unless its colder outside.
Does anyone know what the temperature should be if the system is working correctly and the Climate Control display shows "LOW" for the preset?
Cheers

Mine takes about 5 mins to get down to 18 ..on a very hot day .i dont know what the "Low" temp should be ...i assumed low was as cold as the sytem can get ...if it gets cooler when its running rather than idle then the comperssor could be tired if its just rubish all the time it could have a leak somwere :-/

Is your compressor clutching in as it should? The ally pipework at the front should be freezing cold if all is as it should be. Your air con should be going full pelt when set to 'LOW' ie not using interior stats.

Thermometer in the vent, and if you see more than 5°C after a minute or so then your aircon isn't doing the job it's supposed to (that applies to every car).

thanks everyone, I shall boot this back to the garage and have it re-gassed then test it again. At least he put the dye in last time. He now tells me that when he changed the condenser he did not get the new sealing rings with it and so put the old ones back.
Better try to find another working pump for good measure methinks.
