Title: Emisions control light !

hi all
 have a problem with my 2.2 Auto Miggy
the Emisions control light stay's on ,starts badly then evens out but light still stays on whilst driving could this be cured by changing the Lambda sensor---
if so any sugestions which of the 2 do i change or do i need to change them both.  :-[
