Ok, need to get exhaust sorted on the Elite as baffles have gone in one of the boxes.
I can get a cat back system with fitting kit for around £150 that seems to be decent quality and fits well.
I also got a quote from Longlife for a Stainless system and they said £369 for exhaust and fitting with a choice of tailpipes. Now I'm quite tempted by a stainless system but am having difficulty in justifying spending that much on an exhaust.
Any opinions?
Thanks

If you are planning on keeping the car then why not go stainless, you'll never need to do it again.
£150 exhaust may need replacing again in 2-3 years

or you could see how much it is with VX tradeclub card, if you don't have one, there's plenty of people on here with one, or alternatively apply at Autobahn stormers.

were did you get quote for 150.00 from i need cat back for my petrol 2.2 estate and the cheapest quote around stevenage is approx 240.00 plus vat

I think the general opinion on here is don't buy exhaust from Vx as they are using inferior quality ones now.
I think a few people have bought one from Eternalcar and rate them very highly. I have in mind that the price was around £120??? :y

perhaps a Powerflow SS is an option!? had one on my old civic, it was a work of art nearly!

Any opinions?
As above really.
If you are keeping the motor then go stainless, if you intend to flog it on in the next 12-18 months then go for the cheap option and let the new owner worry about it.

Thanks for the input.
I would like to go stainless methinks but £369 is a lot of money. Is there anywhere that offers stainless systems cheaper?
Thanks

the powerflow on my civic cost £270, cat back!

That actually sounds quite reasonable to me, for what is a rather large twin branch system.
Of course even if you do decide to sell the motor soon after you could always remove the stainless and sell that on ebay or on here and probably still get a couple of hudred for it 8-)
Eternalcar is a sensibly priced option for a standard spec exhaust if not.

Anybody knowingly got a Bosal exhaust? These used to be a good brand for aftermarket - any ideas where to get one from?
Am having an idea about putting a 'decent' mild steel system centres on with an MV6 twin pipe backbox.
