Title: Bleeping
Post by: Stevie Bee on 24 June 2009, 00:01:40
Can anyone help?  I have a 2.6 CDX and Sometimes after I stop the car and turn the ignition off, I get a Bleep that goes on for Four Times.

Other times after I get out of the car it does it, but I have no idea why.  Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Stevie

I think it's a warning your Power Sounder is about to fail.
Have a look here:

AS Turk says  ... and if you don't do something about it  (replace or disconnect) you will get false alarms and possibly a fire ... :(

This HAS happened ..  rarely ... caused it is thought by the failed batteries leaking and shorting out the 12V feed that is "supposed" to be chargeing them.

It takes less than 5 minutes to disconnect .. I would do that whilst thinking about geting areplacement ... around £60 from VX, a forum memeber was looking at doing a replacement battery service .. no idea how far that plan got .. :(
