Thanks for all the advice.
Few days ago, posted that running lumpy, sounds as if misfiring.
Fault codes were 19 & 73.
Have replaced crank sensor (new one) Cleaned MAF.
Still bit lumpy, seems to lack full power under load. Like phutting (misfiring)
Code 73 gone, but still got 19. despite new crank sensor.
Over past 2 to 3 months have done:-
new plugs, new leads, new fuel filter, new air filter, cam covers, cam belt. together with brakes.
MOT about 4 weeks ago (350 miles) passed so emmisions OK.
Plug wells look clean - no oil in wells.
Also had new o/s cat converter and rear exhaust box 'cos back box spilled the bafflers. Could've the knackered back box caused the now problem?
99.9% certain that did cam belt correctly, but if bit out, could this be causing my problem?
Or could it be the infamous Dispack
Any help/advice appreciated before I admit defeat :'(

Is it a genuine VX sensor?

Hi Lazydocker.
didn't get it from Vx. Old one took off had GM on it and Siemans as the manufacturer. New one didn't have GM but did have Siemans. So guess it's OK.

Have you checked that you have not trapped a wire when the cam covers were done? Favourite one seems to be at the front of the passenger bank, which if you trap it well between the cam cover and the end of the engine (as I did once!! :-[ :-[) ::) ::) you can get all the symptoms you describe plus the code 19! :'( :'(

Thanks Lizzie Zoom.
Will be lifting the inlet manifold probably tomorrow, to chech that out, also to make sure things are where they are meant to be, also to get a good look at Dispack.

only ever fit genuine crank sensor. Vx only. Pattern are shite. Personally i only ever fit genuine sensors full stop. No matter what sensor or make car. (esp. Vw abs sensors, Mrs's polo had 3 pattern sensors, all failed)
