Title: dipped beam pattern

Hi guys, fitted a set of hids  yesterday and I think the beam pattern is wrong. My old projecters had a raised beam pattern on the left edge on both headlights but the new ones seem to be flat. Have tried the adjuster inside the lights but it doesnt make any diference. Was reading a while ago that the drivers side should be flat and the passenger raised, but like I said my old projecters were both raised but was never mentioned on old MOT's.
Question is which is right and are the new hids euro spec or something.
