Title: losing coolant, exhaust spitting water

Hi

my 02, 2.2 omega has started juddering while on idle and the exhaust emission warning light has come on.
also had a coolant level warning, topped up but still losing level and the exhaust is spitting water and a trace of white smoke/steam is coming from the exhaust aswell ??

does the oil on dip stick look normal? Any signs of coolent/mayo in the oil?

oil on dip stick looks and feels normal but not driven very far since fault started.

Agreed similar symptoms to what mine was doing when head gasket failed.

was hoping you would say empty the ash trays ???
Head gasket not a job I can do myself, off to my local garage this morning via my bank manager.

HG failure is fairly common on 4 pot petrol Omegas, usually around 100k mark.

But I would get it confirmed it is HG first!
