what age is your facelift?

on some, a press and hold will open the boot.

this doesnt work on the early ones though.

you only need to press the panel button, not both?

there is a wire you can cut to get around this, called Hillpers boot mod in the maint section, I think it can cause the odd side effect though, but can't remember what

Don't do what I did. Went to get something from the boot - popped the boot without unlocking the car and laid the key down in the boot as I picked up what I went for. Realised this when I shut it - result, car locked, only key in boot. Had some fun breaking into it with bits of hooked wire with the alarm going off constantly.

The key needs to be removed from the ignition switch for either the fob or the dash button to operate on mine. Just stopping the engine will not allow either to work.

I can thoroughly recommend the mod by Hilper, as suggested by Jimbob. There is only one possible little snag, the interior light will not go off immediately you start the engine, it will stay on for eight seconds. I bypassed mine by using the old Trafficmaster switch, works a treat.
