As most of you know i already have my eml on due to the pre-cat efficiency being low.Today when pulling off in the car,i noticed it was sluttering a bit, then a few minutes later the eml started to flash for a couple of seconds,is that a warning that you have a new code stored, seeing as you wouldent know anyway because its alredy on.Also done pedal trick again, and discovered a new code(0300),besides pre-cat code, could this be a past code or a new one. :y

IIRC 0300 is a general missfire on one bank but I'll check it now.

Thanks lee,but still none the wiser, could it be coil pack or something else.Sort one thing out and something else goes tits up. ;D :y

It could be anything from a simple electrical glitch to a general miss due to the rain/heat. Just keep an eye on it in case it does it again.

Thats what i was thinking to be honest mate, after all weve had enough of it,plus all the floods and puddles ive been through, but to be honest mate, just took it for a run again and doesent seem to be doing it now(fingers crossed). :D :y

0300 with no other 030x codes tends to point away from HT side of things...

Had a look at the beast today, and discovered a totally knackered coilpack on drivers side.Plug wells also full of oil,but passenger side in perfect condition. Can anyone shed a bit more light on the subject as to why this happens and is it anything to worry about,so on the lookout now for one if anyone is flooging one. :( :y

Forgot to add, does anyone think this could be the possible cause of low pre-cat eff code flashing up. :'(

you need to change the rocker cover gasket mate. use kitchen roll or similar to remove oil from plug wells.

Mark, I've got a 60ml syringe with a plastic tube I use for plug well oil removal if you want to borrow it. It's not needed at the moment as I'm tractoring :P :y

Not connected to the pre-cat issue, that is purely the pre-cat giving up the ghost.

Sorry for any slow replies folks,as i have been off the road for a few days, and not been able to get up the old ladies online, but thanks anyway lee,all sorted now mate, just in the middle of servicing the rest of the car now inbetween the rain. :D :y

Thought that would be the problem mate,it does look like it had a slight leak over time, but thats another job, another day. :y
