Post by: lee4206 on 05 July 2009, 22:35:01
Could anyone tell me if the engine mounts are the same for the 2.0 and the v6 and also what bhp the 2.0 manual gearbox can handle as i think i may have just broke one or the other.
Thanks

Box is an R25 should easily handle the power from a 2.0 as its the same box thats in a 2.5 v6...

ar 25 = 250nm of torque
ar 35 = 350nm of torque

200 bhp may be pushing it? Chipped tractors eat the 25 box, more weight though.

Laughing gas? Can you mix that with the other laughing gas(lpg)?..... Just wondered.

Checked mounts today and the nearside on has failed/burst as theres oil coming out of it and its covered everything near it.

so back to my original question  are the mounts the same for both 4pot and v6

instalation was easy diy

cost of kit was $379 plus shipping and customs tax (purchased from usa with other bits so order in total cost me about £450 inc everything)but that was last year when exchange rate was better .

gas costs about £5-£6 a lb  (ive got the 10 lb bottle)

performance  depends on what jets you fit kit comes with jets upto 75hp increase higher power jets only a couple of quid each   but mine is very noticeable 75hp jets fitted.

Just priced up the similar kit to mine and they want £700 inc vat and postage

i got the kit with 10lb bottle ,pressure gauge ,purge kit and blow off vent kit for £450 inc shiping and customs charge so they are very pricey.
