Title: Good Garage in Nottingham area
Post by: squattingbeaver on 07 July 2009, 00:15:23
Hi Everyone

Its getting close to that time when I need my car servicing, Dont want to take it to Vauxhall to continue the Main dealer service histiry due to cost but I do want to take it to someone who knows about Omega's and will look after my Pride and joy.

Can anyone recommend a garage that is close to Nottingham.

Thanks in advance

Ginger at Wollaton Service Station behind Kennelgate pet shop on Trowell Road (opposite the CoOp) has always done good jobs for me, at a fair price. In fact he recently changed my crank sensor, and when it came to pay he said to drive it for a couple of days first to see everything was OKeh. He only uses genuine VX parts as well

If memory serves there are some handy members in the Nottingham area, not least Mark DTM! Also some members offer a mobile service. You could try a PM and see whether they'll do what you're after  :y

Well Darth came over this morning to service the car, what can I say, excellent job and the car is running fantastic.  I must say he knows his stuff and I would recommend to anyone...gave me some top tips aswell to keep things running sweet(oh and I will be getting those plastic pinholders to stop the drivers door clicking when it opens )

I see Vauxmoore has closed down......

Only went there a couple of times early on in my Omega ownership, but Chris there was a really friendly chap and also seemed to know his stuff......

Remember clearly though that he wouldnt open the workshop on Saturdays......so maybe limited his market by doing so......
