As per the title really... TB and I agreed my car's feeling a little flat but couldn't find anything wrong so I'm going to chamge the plugs tomorrow. They've been in for 25k, 15 of which on LPG, and are Vx multi electrode items.
Now I know from previous experience that LPG can munch plugs (my RR did a set of Champions in under 5k :o :o) but found NGK single electrodes very good, seeing 25k with no issues. I figured I'd be the guinea pig for the LPGers here and try them out in the Miggy as I haven't got any Vx ones and I won't pay full price for them (I haven't got a TC yet as andyc is only 50 miles away)
So, has anyone tried them and how were they?
I'm not paying the stupid money for Platinum or Iridium, although the Iridium are supposed to be quite good for LPG, so just going for the standard, single electrode jobbies but a grade cooler if I can get them.
Any thoughts????

I used to use them before i got tc and didnt notice any difference to the gm ones only a 4pot though so not as sensitive

I beg to differ... It's missing a third of the engine. It's probably more sensitive ::) ::) :D :D

Would be interesting as you say. I worked out the type of plug for a single electrode, a grade cooler, a while back. BKR7E IIRC. Then bought some champion equivalents. :-X I'll let you know how I get on too.

At least we both agree on the plug code! Although I thought they were suppressed ones! Anyway, my local parts place (although a bit more expensive than others) are very good and will check required plugs for me :y :y
I'll be interested to hear how the Champions last after my previous experiences... Perhaps I had a bad batch.
Mind you, I'm not particularly unhappy with standard VX as they've lasted reasonably well... I may go back to them and just change every 18k or so as they work out cheap enough on TC :y :y

True. The set of 4 electrodes in mine have done almost 40k. Almost half of that on gas. Can't grumble for the money on TC.

I use them in my car and have no probs. they have two electrodes.
I prefer them to the crap quality from champion or bosch.

I use NGK 4 electrodes..and pleased with it..
Not sure the GM sparks same as UK but NGK definitely better.. ( I dont use LPG)
However I think there are two points for you to check..
Lambda and MAF.. Although they wont give any error codes (mine was without any error also ) changing them will effect the car .. I tested and see that after changing them car consumes more fuel and goes better ..

Amazingly, for the parts place I use, they don't stock the 7E's so I've just gone for a straight single electrode replacement at 6E's which is what I did with the RR.
I'll see what results we get!
Just out of interest, does anyone know what the gap should be for an Omega? ::) ::)
