I have been told, if i change my left stalk, to one with cruise on it, chances are my car may have cruise fitted .Do CD Faclifts hae this fitted by factory but no stalk ? :-[ stupid question i know :'(

No, you may have a facelift, but its not a facelift engine (2.2, 2.6, 3.2)
You will need Stalk, Actuator motor, and brake switch (and clutch if manual)
-
For ref, the newer ones need stalk, pedal switches (and usually a chat with tech2 to enable it)

save wasting my money on a new stalk then thanks for that mate :y

Aye, keep your eye on ebay, or here
Kits start at about £20-£30 normally
I got mine for 99p, some have paid nearer £100, so watch for a deal you are happy with, easy to fit :y

Should be able to buy a 'kit' from one of the breakers here for £30 - £50 for cruise - actuator, brake switch, bowden cable, stalk.
2nd hand stalks do have a habit of failing prematurely, so may be worth carrying old (non cruise stalk) in glovebox (the failure mode is it brings on full beam all the time under braking).
