Hi, my EGR Valve (98 2.5 ELite) is leaking hot air between the Ally base and the metal plate. Is it possible to dismantle and seal and put back.
thanks David

Sadly not but, you can fabricate a steel blanking plate to sandwich between the EGR valve and its mount to block it off

I'm not to sure wich seal you mean but I had a prob with the seal to the pleunum, so I got gasket paper from local shop and made a new gasket. up to now it is still solid no with leaks.

If I blank it, do I not have to mod the ecu, as I read somwhere on here. Also any effect on Petrol consumption, can I mod ecu without tech2?
Cheers

If I'm right ( whats not that often) you leave the egr pluged in and thats it. it will make 0.5 ltr more mpg i read somewhere.
