Little float in the bottom of the header tank stuck or the sensor fubarred.

It is possible to clean the sensor sometimes with some domestic de-scaler .. but a new header tank is only about £35 (I think) and comes complete .., as the sensor is not removeable

sounds like the sensor in the tank is knackered..

you can clutch at straws and jab the float with a pencil or similar, or spend £30 on a new tank to fix

(or remove the plug from the bottom of the tank and bridge with a paperclip)

I had the same problem, it was the sensor in the head tank so I got a new tank approx £27 inc VAT from dealer, job done
