Hi folks 1st post on the site unfortunately its a cry for help for my 99 T Plate Omega Elite.
The problem is that when i put the car in drive 1,2 or 3 the car just revs and wont move off. However it does seem to work ok in Reverse???? :-? Unsure if its a common problem but I pray its not major because I love the car and its fully loaded with extras from new so really a shame if its to be written off. Help please......... :o

I take it, although you don't spell it out, the car does work in Drive?? If so what happens when you are driving along and then go into 1,2 or 3? :-/ :-/

my money is on the 1-2 band and/or solenoid.

Check the fluid level ?? Low fluid will drop drive..

When the gearbox seal on my old granada failed and dumped ATF in large volumes .. reverse was the last gear that remained.. and was how we got it away from the traffic lights in the middle of Blois !!! Reversed it into a bus stop and waited for rescue !!! I did try pouring some atf in .. but it was coming out as fast as I poured it in !!! Gendarmes were not highly impressed .. :(
Now I know the miggy box is not the grannny box .. but its possible there's just enough fluid for reverse but not forward ???

Tkanks for the advice so far folks. The car doesnt go in Drive or and forward gear. Think i'll try the ATF change does anyone know the fluid amount required to change the fluid?? Ta

Contact Markey Mark. I know that he has a mint AR35 box available - but logistically he is in SLady bitshorpe!
