Hi, Is the large spring on the left hand side of a 3.0L throttle body the return spring and is it adjustable or if it's becomes weak is it best to replace it as my revs. won't return to normal without blipping the throttle?
Thanks,
Pete :).

Yes it is and no its not adjustable.
And I struggle to beleave that its becoem weak, are the throttle bodies nice and clean and is the stop properly adjusted plus the cable not over tightened?

Thanks for your reply Mark :).
When i did the cambelt i thoroughly cleaned the throttle body and as far as i can see it's adjusted correctly and the cable isn't over tight but when you lift off the throttle you can put your toe under it and lift it up to lower the revs. or if under the bonnet you can turn the spindle with the spring on back a bit by hand to lower them as well.

hi mate, have you tried disconecting the throttle cable from the bodies. see if the spindle returns to fully closed on its own. if it does then the problem is probably the cable. if not then take throttle bodies off and give a bloody good cleaning (again). i find a little wd40 helps sometimes.

Hi Kris, No i haven't tried it with the cables removed but will give it a go and see :y.
Thanks,
Pete :).
