Title: Help! Car won't start now!
Post by: gav525 on 03 August 2009, 10:15:42
Well took it upon myself yesterday to change the plugs, oil and HT leads on my car as one of the leads had snapped. But now it won't start again! I'm thinking I maybe put the leads on wrond on the dis pack at the back so does anyone have a pic or can tell me in which order the plugs go on the pack?

Cheers, Gav

the model i did had the numbers printed on top of the dis. Is the dis fully plugged into the loom correctly.

Yeah, I didn't disconnect it so should be. I'll check anyway though. It turns over but won't fire up? Couldn't see if there were any numbers on it though as I still had the scuttle fitted. I do know when I took them off though that from right to left on the rear of the dis was 1,3 then 5. I was just assuming the front side of the pack would be he same ie 2,4 then 6?

Should be 1-3-5 then 4-6-2

Cheers Pete, I'll have a look and see if they're correct then. Is that from r-l or l-r though?
It's only turning over, just won't fire into life. Weird one like!
