Need advice when the heater bypass valve goes wrong how can you tell because i cant actualy see anything visibly wrong with it is there a diaghram that goes inside ?
-
What makes you think that your HBV has a fault?
Normaly they only leak as far as I know so if yours is not leaking theres no fault mate :y

there was water on the hoses all around the valve and with very little space in there its very hard to see where the water is coming from the hoses look ok so thought its probaly the valve

If you take off your skuttle it will give you a bit more space to look and work, the hbv is known to knack up so you will have to replace it, (not to hard a job)
you could also remove the pleunum for a bit more space.

here is the how 2 for your HBV
hope this helps you. :y
I belive a new hbv costs roughly £30 not to sure though.
