Afternoon all,
Earlier this week I opened the back door and for some unknown reason, the plastic outer trim came alive and bent itself back on the front door. Producing the following:

According to the old haynes manual, the exterior trim is stuck on. Which might present a problem trying to fix it. Any ideas how I can rectify this easily?
TIA
:)

I've seen many like that and not a single successful repair, I think replacement is the only way to sort it :(

Oh dear, I thought that might be the only option. Any thoughts on how it occured in the first place? I'm thinking that it's something to do with expansion due to heat - other than that I am clueless.
Is it a "take it to the garage job" then, so they can remove and replace?

i got mine back on by heating with a hair dryer & coaxing it back into shape, its not 100% but better than it was :y

Funny enough I have just this minute ripped all mine off intentionally to replace with facelift ones, I doubt the chrome strip will straighten out.
May be a good time/excuse to update it with facelift ones. I think someone had a blue set for sale on here not long ago.

Now there's a thought!
I do have a heat gun somewhere, admittedly it's for paint stripping but if I'm careful then it could be a goer.
