hiya.
i`ll be upgrading to leather seats soon, i know about disconnecting the battery to remove the drivers airbag but seeing as the front seats have side airbags would i need to disconnect the battery when swapping seats over?
my car is a 02 and will be putting in 02 leather so everything should be the same.
many thanks.

i would just to play safe mate :y

Much much safer to disconnect your battery when swapping seats over. At the very least don't turn your ignition on with a seat removed .... you'd need your air-bag light restting if you did. ;)

oh & dont you have to put in those red clips in the pre-tensioners to stop them going off? :-/

I think that just applies to the older type. Mr Haynes describes though. ;)

Agreed, in theory you can just unplug it under the seat. I personally would disconnect, good excuse to whip out the battery & clean under it.
