Title: Compression testing
Post by: ScottieMV6 on 10 August 2009, 12:48:00
Just about to do a compression test on my car. Can someone please tell me how to stop the spark when I remove all the plugs?

I have removed the two purple relays to stop the fuel.

Unplugging crank sensor was all I did when I did mine.

Where do I unplug that? Sorry to be a bit thick!

Does that kill the spark?

Here is a pic of the plug from the back of the engine, the plug you need is in yellow box.

its a bit of a bitch to get to though :y
dont think that it will kill the spark though.
just keep the plug leads away from your self or others and disconect ALL plug leads.
