the steering on my miggy 2.6 man is really stiff on tickover but ok when i put a few revs on any one any ideas

could be the PAS pump is getting tired?

would changing the fluid help  the car has only done 44,000 mls

Try changing the servotronic relay in the driverside kick panal as this controls the assistance at low speeds, It is also cheaper than going head first with a pump to find that it is not the cure. :y
