Title: New car first fix
Post by: The Barge Captain on 01 December 2007, 19:19:53
Ok.  So I picked up the new car yesterday.  Cambelt 5K overdue and battery totally goosed.
First thing this morning I was waiting for the parts counter to open at the stealers.    £200 later I had bought all the parts to fix all of the above.
What did I fix first?

Cambelt if your going to run it. Unless of course you want to run the risk of the valves and pistons meeting up in the cafe combustion chamber for tea and cakes :D

Only 3 people got it right

Crack of doom

A 5 minute 24 pence fix as the noise was driving me crackers and trying to change the cambelt in this weather is no fun

Its when your door makes a loud click / crack when opening.

In its initial phases it costs about 20p to fix with a new plastic bush, and takes 5 mins to do.

If it gets very bad, then a new door plate can be required.
