I knew it would happen eventually - the ride in my mig is starting to feel a bit 'wallowy' or perhaps I'm being a bit too spirited in my driving these days.
I've got a facelift elite saloon, with the rear air shocks, and I think they are starting to play up every now and then. I'm not too fussed about retaining them, and will happily replace them with new non height adjustable units.
Ideally, I'd like to replace front and rear shocks and springs with an MV6 set, to lower the car a little and tighten up the handling, but i'm finding them a little hard to source - or i'm just being impatient.
Can anyone recommend a third party make of shocks and springs that will lower the car? I seem to remember the MV6 set drops it by about 40mm?
Cheers
John.

bilstein B4 or koni shox both work well with vauxhalls. If you don't want to get MV6 springs from a dealer (how much are they?) then how about the -30mm Eibach kit - I think that they are about £130ish.
Gen face lift MV6 are -15mm.

MV6 are 15mm lower.
Eibach are about £180 for 30mm or 40mm lowered from Courtney. P&P around £14.00 - £18.00.
May be worth shopping around.
I lowered a previous mig by 40mm. Handled really well for a big old barge and wasn't a harsh ride at all.
Personally I would advise 30mm max, 40mm can be just a little too much at times.
