Title: Help!? Amber gearbox light on dashboard??

Hi i need help
my Omega is displaying gearbox light on dashboard when engine is running
but everything is working fine
last night i was top up engine oil was almost empty

Hi fellow,
Great i can be of help. The light you see amber gearbox is called the EML (Engine Management Light). It comes on when there is a fault noticed. If you had to top up your oil, it was warning that something is wrong. On the forum there is a guide to The Paperclip Test. It shows you how to check for faultys on your vehicle.

the paperclip test wont work on a 2.2,
you might have luck and the pedal trick works, it wont on all but some have had luck.
the only other way is to get it read by a computor.
