Silly question, was it misfiring before you pulled it apart? Is the engine management light on?

Inlet and exhaust cams are different, and they need to be timed using the relevant mark on the pullies (1,2,3,4).
Check that the knock sensor wire hasn't been trapped behind the aux. belt tensioner.
DIS pack terminals connected to the right cylinders?
Might be worth paperclipping it just in case..

I've never messed with the camshafts, but I doubt you could put them back in the wrong place, why do you think it could be that? How bad is the misfire? did you change the plug leads?
-
Will take a look thanks kevin and do paperclip test ,all camshafts were removed one by one and put back in same order and timing seems perfect and terminals all in correct order 1,3,5 on left side from front, and 2,4,6 on the right bank all are coloured and numbered on each plug lead

No Rob has the 1 3 5 bank correct but 2 is at front 4 in middle 6 at rear closest to DIS. So should be:
Front
2 1
4 3
6 5
DIS

It could be a dodgy lead that has broken down due to being disturbed, had the same problem on my dads car when the covers were replaced. found that No 6 lead was bad, but was ok before then. :y
