Post by: gsizoli on 15 August 2009, 19:06:47
Hi!

how can I identify if my car has inbuilt factory fitted alarm? It's a facelift and as i know there are no factory fitted alarm in it.But i've opened the keyfob and as I've seen it's a KIEKERT type which works with 433MHz (cars with factory fitted alarm)...so I don't understand....

Have you a switch with a red LED on it by the TC switch on the radio console. If yes, then you have an alarm, and if it doesn`t work then the horn/powersounder has been disconnected

It may have been dis-conneceted as it was causing the alarm to sound for no reason other than P/Sounder batteries were failing, so be warned.
