could be historic.(left over from original fault) Really needs clearing with code reader or tech 2 etc and see if it returns. Not sure on the rule for how long codes are stored, have read some erase after a certain number of trouble free starts.

How long has new maf been fitted?

If the EML has now extinguished and it's running OK I believe you're probably just seeing a stored code. Some delete themselves over time, some don't.

thanks for the replys guys, problem is i can reset the code each day and it still comes back , only if i take it high up the revs,  im using a cheap "My Naff Code Reader" tech2 and it does the job untill revved high.

the lights not coming on though it just stores the code without letting me know. :-/

ah, ok. Def a current fault then. Either new Maf dodgy as well or dodgy connection in the plug(switch cleaner) or associated wiring. If you cant find a fault their then i guess a  session with a tech2 owning member on here?

Ps.Would be nice to swap mafs with a known good one and see, if you know of anyone near you with the same engine?
