Hi guys had the omega for just over a month now covered 4000 miles in it and apart from having to sort out the clicky front doors (with the advice in this forum, much cheaper and easier than i thought). :)
I am now looking at lowering the car with a view to putting some 18;'s on it at a later date. Any advice on what kits, springs and whether to drop 35 or 40mm would be gratefully appreciated.

I lowered a previous Mig by 40mm. Looked great with 17's, even better with 18's and handled much better without being a harsh ride. Would recommend 30mm though. 40mm may be a little too low. I had to remove the under engine splash/muck guard for a little more clearance.

As Turk says, 40mm alright on a track but on todays roads, well ::).

General advice on here is if you go - 40mm or more in lowering, then you really need shock absorbers to go with the springs to get the best results, as standard ones won't last long !.
As to which is best depends on the individual, and how much you want to spend ?.
Sure others on here that have converted to lowering their Mig's will give you some advice.

Standard shocks will be fine down to 40mm. :y
Really wouldn't advise going lower than 40mm. You'd be grounding out over road markings. ;D

Having had it like that for about 4 years and even though it was only a problem on larger speed humps, large kerbs and when using drive on and four post lifts in my mates garage, I'd still say 30mm is best option for a compromise with handling, appearance and general drivability.
