Hi
I have a lovely 2.6 CDX Tourer ( not so lovely now ) with clutch band failure has been confirmed oil smelly and dark colour, done the usual service bits unfortunately unable to save, time for another box.
Please can someone advise if the 2.2 16v auto box will fit and what necessary changes required both are 2002 spec. boxes.
Thanks in advance

I would of thought that the gear ratios would be different to, along with the size of the convertor - I could be wrong ?. Didn't think the AR25 & 35 could be interchanged ?.

Good evening
Cheers for the info. the AR35 sounds a like the better option having been designed to take more horse power when fitted to the 2.6 should last longer.
I know these boxes share the same engine block so should be a straight forward bolt on but are the electrical bits and pieces interchangeable or similar.
Thanks again

Not really... the 2.6 does not produce enough torque to warrent an AR35.
The AR25 will be just fine :y

Good morning
The symtoms for future reference were complete loss of drive (at a roundabout of all places) followed by a massive vibration throughout the car then inspection light popped on followed by limp mode.
Then the inspection light went out on the journey home and manage to recover all power again but was slipping between gears.
The auto box has only covered 95k , on inspection of filter unit this found to be very dirty and oil had not been changed.
After filter and oil change slight improvement and if accelerated to medium level would slip and light back on again, resetting itself when restarting
Lesson to be learnt here when you buy an Omega Auto secondhand always change auto oil regardless of what the seller or paperwork says.
Yes I will be changing oil and filter on secondhand box as I have done on runaround V6 Auto Calibra purchased (couldn't find cheap V6 Omega at short notice)
Once again thanks for your responses.
