Title: Air vent temperatures
Post by: Bumbazor on 21 August 2009, 10:11:04
Should all the front air vents be the same temperature?
For example when set to 24, the side vent is warm but the middle is cold. Is this correct?

Yep, that is correct. Cool air on your face and warmer air on your body, or that is the idea I think.

Nope. On both miggys I have owned air is the same temp from all the face level vents.

On my Carlton (Omega A) the temperature was controlled by a mixing flap. IIRC hot air came in at the bottom and cold at the top. The central vents were fed by a duct from the top of the mixing box and there was a cut out in the mixing flap so that when the flap was set to full heat a little cold air still came through so the central vents would be cooler than the other vents when heating. When set to cold all the vents were at the same temperature.

My assumption is that the Omega B carries on with a similar design that results in a little cold air being mixed into the central face vents at all times.
