Title: why would i ever need a new front crossmember?

opportunity to buy a brand new front crossmember at a good price has presented itself to me. no idea why i would ever need to buy one though. any suggestions?!!  :-?  worth having?

well, quite. i didnt know if it was worth having one spare or not... or why i would need one... i cant think ive heard of anyone on here replacing one or why they would have done it...

I would have thought that if you ever had an accident bad enough to require a new cross member then all you'd end up with is a new cross member ;D.

well i ended up getting it in the end with a load of other bits. i dont know when or why i'll need it but for a fiver it's a genuine new part and it can't really complain at that price. it's there just in case...  ;D
