Anybody with access to GM workshop times for cambelt/kit relacement on v6..just curious on the time they work on?
-
From what I can make out TIS reckons 2.9 hours :y

Just had a quote from dealer to replace the cambelt on 2005 Astra 1.8 Design, £400.00 all in. I nearly fell out of the place laughing. That is over £300.00 for labour and tax.
The kit on trade club is about £50.00.

kit on trade card for v6 is about 95 quid. non-dealer should charge no more than 150 for fitting.
-
Had my belt done by VX last yr £330 all in.
-
Go send a pm to Loo Knee, he is doing mine in two weeks time, for a fraction of the cost, including water pump and et al
Seems a good deal to me

With a fair few members appearing across Kent, is there any possibility you can all help each other out on these sorts of jobs?

I refitted the pulleys and retimed with a big spanner on the cam - made it easier to do - a good tip for next time.
