Title: AC compressor from MV6
Post by: grijander on 24 August 2009, 20:08:25
I have to change bearings on my AC compressor and I've disassemble it from engine support (3 Torx bolts). I couldn't unscrew the tubes(1 central 16mm bolt) with compressor installed so I've got it by the front and now I'll unscrew those tubes.
Is this the correct way to do it?
Assembly will be like tell in Haynes?

Thats how I do it.....its a fiddle to get it in and out but can be done.

The other method is to use a socket on a number of extensions and thread it down past the PAS pump to get to the pipe plate bolt.

I was afraid because alluminium pipes were suffering in the way out :-/
This morning I leaved compressor for bearing change. Hope tomorrow can assembly and suffer again.
